Exciting opportunity for qualified and experienced teachers
After three and a half successful years in Kent and Northern Ireland, the Plus Club are now looking for a few excellent teachers to set up and run after school Maths and English learning clubs in various locations across the UK. You will be running a club at a different venue each night, all within a comfortable commute.
This position is ideal for someone that loves teaching but is looking for a better work- life balance. All your planning and nearly all your preparation has been done for you and there is no marking, so that you can focus on the most important bit - teaching the children! You will be running between two and five after school clubs a week from 15.00 till 19.00 (including setting up and putting away.) A maximum of 16 children in each group (with a classroom assistant.) Children want to be there and want to learn, so no discipline problems! You will be fully supported in all aspects of running the clubs.
You will need:
To be an excellent teacher that loves to teach
To be confident in teaching English and Maths to Key Stage Two children
To be able to make learning fun!
To have excellent people skills and to know how to provide excellent customer service to the children’s parents
Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
Be reliable
To have a full clean driving licence and a car
To be able to provide the ‘teaching kit’ that you will need (a list can be provided and as a teacher you will probably have a lot of it already)
To be confident in building relationships with local schools and in the community (with our support)
You can expect to earn £90.00 for each three hour teaching session and there is also an optional opportunity to earn commission on sales of books and educational resources to the children’s parents.
