Specialist Marketing Recruitment, Graduate Role

My client is a specialist marketing recruitment agency, placing Market Researchers, Analytics, and Insight and Big Data professionals. The business currently has 23 staff spread across offices in London and Sydney, and they are looking for 2 trainees to join the team.

The Role

Recruitment as a career requires innovative thinking, a self starter attitude and hard work. You will be given a job specification that requires a specific skill set, your job is to source the individual with the relevant skills and then persuade them to consider the job opportunity that you have. This can be harder than it sounds, the industry is competitive and you will exhaust numerous channels to reach the right people. Techniques that are common include networking on sites such as LinkedIn, cold calling into businesses and headhunting individuals, calling through the database and searching online databases.

Progression

After you have sourced and placed 3 candidates you will progress to Consultant level. As a Consultant you will develop your own portfolio of clients, this will require you to cold call into businesses and develop relationships, from here you can progress to Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant, Team Leader and then Director Level.

Recruiting into Specialist Marketing

Specialist marketing as an industry sector requires a very consultative approach. You will be speaking to high value individuals and understanding their needs and their career. The role is more intellectually stimulating than other recruitment roles.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a 2:1 from a Top University

You will have at least 1 year commercial experience in an office based environment.

You will be a hungry self starter motivated by money and career progression.
