Early Childhood Regulatory Inspectors

We’ve always been passionate about helping children and young people to get the best possible start in life. But we know we can have an even bigger impact if we raise the bar higher for ourselves, and for the organisations we work with. Which is why we’ve created a new Early Childhood Regulatory Inspector role. This is about growing our reputation for excellence. It’s about growing your skills, and using them on a much, much broader scale. And it’s about helping all sorts of different services – and the young children who use them – to flourish.

These opportunities are very much at the forefront of our new approach, so we’ll be looking for substantial experience within either early years or social care. You’ll need to show us that you know how to drive improvement and deliver excellence. And with a full understanding of early years frameworks, safeguarding and child protection processes, you’ll be as comfortable challenging others as you are offering the kind of constructive advice that leads to positive and lasting change.

Apply yourself*

This is the start of an exciting new future for us. And if you share our commitment to raising expectations, raising the bar and, ultimately, raising the standards, this could be an exciting new future for you, too.

But first things first, we need you to make sure you’ve got some of the core attributes we’re looking for:

A degree or equivalent experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Early Years.
Excellent understanding of the Early Years Framework.
And we’ll expect to see that you’ve made a positive contribution to securing better outcomes for young children.
If you have all of that, please visit our website via the button below.

Closing date for applications as 12 noon on Monday 11 November 2013.

*For the better
