We are looking for a Stock Manager for a major public library service in London. This six month role will focus on the management of library stock in all formats, including print and AV materials and e-resources. As Stock Manager, you will also be responsible for managing and monitoring the budget, and lead on procurement, including the award and monitoring of contracts and supply performance, and the allocation/coordination of the Libraries stock budget
To be considered for this role, you must have substantial experience of working in public libraries or a similar environment, and have awareness of current issues concerning the development of this sector. Experience of staff and team management is also essential, together with financial management and planning, and the practical application of ICT systems in a public sector environment.
This will be a 6 month assignment in the first instance.
