Community Nurse – Tottenham Hotspur Foundation
Reporting Structure:
The job holder will report to relevant Senior Manager within Tottenham Hotspur Foundation (THF)
Payment:
This is a Fixed Term 35 Hour per week contract for 18 months. This may include Evening & Weekend work.
Salary will be offered at £28-31k pa
Job Outline:
To Deliver NHS Health Checks in community settings, across the east of the London borough of Haringey. This will require the post holder to deliver range of routine health tests and standard questions that form part of an NHS Health Check. As well as providing positive lifestyle advice around nutrition, exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption.
The Candidate:
You will have good organisational and time management skills, and have a good knowledge of the Greater North London area. You will hold a valid First Aid and Safeguarding certificate.
Full UK driving license is desired and access to transport.

Nursing Degree Essential
Post Graduate Qualification Desirable
Knowledge of behaviour change techniques, eg. Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Approach.
Infection Control training
Possess a high standard of communication skills both written and oral
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Be able to effectively co-ordinate workload and liaise with multi-disciplinary team
Experience of working on community based projects or outreach work
Experience of working in culturally diverse populations
Experience and/or knowledge of NHS Health Checks
Knowledge of local services in Haringey
Experience of working in partnership with local organisations
Experience of hosting or working in a clinic setting
Clean driving licence and own transport
Evidence of effective team working
Ability to work to targets
Strong IT Skills. Literate in MS Office programmes
Ability to motivate and influence people
