CURRICULUM LEADER, LONDON - £45,000 plus benefits

The Goldsmiths’ Centre is the leading charity for the professional training of goldsmiths in UK.

In 2012 we launched our vocational training programme, offering both Foundation and Postgraduate courses, which have proved to be highly successful.

The Trustees have now agreed a challenging set of targets for the Centre in their Corporate Plan.  This will see us building upon the success of these pilot programmes, by expanding the range and scale of qualifications and courses on offer.   We also aspire to create a ground breaking Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme, aimed at the widest possible range of learners across the sector.

To facilitate this process we now wish to appoint a Curriculum Leader with extensive experience of the FE sector.  Full of energy and ideas, you will bring wide-ranging and expert knowledge of qualifications, the Skills Funding Agency, programme development, quality (including Ofsted), business and operational planning to the role.

Excellent communication skills and empathy with the Centre’s aims will mean that you will be comfortable representing our Professional Training Division, both internally and externally, with partner organisations and funders.  In addition, you will agree key performance indicators with the Professional Training Division staff and Senior Management Team, putting in place mechanisms to ensure that these are achieved.

Innovative, creative and focused, you will relish the challenge of helping us to deliver against our charitable purpose, growing our revenue streams by establishing a new programme that builds upon the unparalleled links we enjoy with our industry. Whilst you may have relevant experience of jewellery, silversmithing or the allied trades, equally you might also have relevant art and design, enterprise or professional development experience that makes you suitable and interested in the role.

If you believe you have what it takes to make a significant contribution to the Centre and you’d like to know more about this role, then please download the application pack. The closing date for final applications is 9am on Monday 11 November and the interviews will be held in London on Wednesday 20 November 2013.

To apply, please email your CV and covering letter to us via the button below.
