Print Pagination & Copy exec

Salary:  Competitive  Location: London

Type: Full Time  Postal/Zip Code:  SW19

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our print pagination and copy operation in London. You will play a key role in the advertising production process across the Guardian and Observer portfolio of magazines, newspapers and supplements. You will ensure that ads run correctly and also that our advertisers supply us with the correct material at the right time.

You will be an effective communicator, able to build relationships across commercial and editorial teams in negotiating and ensuring that all sections are produced in a cost effective and efficient manner within house style, adhering to advertising/editorial ratios and planning ads per client’s expectation.

A typical day consists of liaising with other various departments and external clients/suppliers to coordinate advertising plans, and ensure that ad copy arrives on time, to spec and is processed correctly. Your responsibilities and the products you work on will vary depending on the specific department role at the time.

It’s an often fast-paced, deadline driven, but friendly environment whose main aim is to maximise commercial opportunities. You will be a good multi-tasker and able to work under pressure without compromising on detail. You will be well-organised, with an ability to think laterally in order to provide well thought out solutions to the various challenges we encounter.

We provide a tight-knit team environment, but also need someone who is able to act on initiative, and prioritise their own workload. You will be confident in dealing with people across the company at all levels, as well as possessing good customer service skills. Flexibility, foresight, patience and a sense of humour will also stand you in good stead.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role. Most importantly, you will be willing to be adaptable and take on new challenges. Computer literacy and organisational skills are essential.

Deadline for applications is Wednesday 4th December 2013

We welcome applications from any individual regardless of ethnic origin, gender, disability, religious belief, sexual orientation or age. All applications will be considered on merit.
