Our client is a leading private healthcare provider based in Milton Keynes and we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Theatre Practitioner to lead their Theatre and Endoscopy team.
Reporting to the Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will be able to:
Demonstrate high performance leadership of the Theatre team to provide a high standard of individualised patient care supporting the clinical team to provide excellent customer experience, whilst facilitating the best possible clinical outcomes. A commitment to the development of high quality evidence based acute care is essential, combined with the tenacity and passion required to drive success in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
Your duties will include:
* Provide leadership for Theatre and Endoscopy staff
* Developing excellent working relationships with staff, Consultants, suppliers and key stakeholders
* Provide effective motivation, monitoring and management of the Theatre team
* Build effective controls to ensure the Department's Key Performance Indicator and financial targets are achieved
* Effectively monitor and manage of all resources available to the Department including operational budgets, workforce planning, efficiency of Theatre lists, etc.
* Provide effective deployment of resources needed to sustain agreed activity levels
* Provide effective management of any records which are required to be kept in accordance with Unit, Company and legislative needs
* Build a solid working relationship with the General Manager and Clinical Lead
The ideal candidate will have:
* A strong clinical background in acute surgical care
* Demonstrable leadership, personnel management skills, knowledge and experience
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards
* Excellent communication skills
* Sound computer skills and knowledge
* A registered member with the NMC
* Immediate life support
* ENB 998 or equivalent
