The Department of Law at the London School of Economics was rated as the best law department in the country by the Research Assessment Exercise 2008. To support our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes, and to strengthen further our research profile, we are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Law and Anthropology.

You will contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of the School by conducting research which will enhance the School's reputation as a research-led teaching institution. We are committed to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and all members of the Department’s academic staff are expected to contribute to core undergraduate teaching.



You should have a coherent strategy for future research and publications and be able to provide evidence of strong research potential. You should also have a PhD or its equivalent, or be close to completing.
