We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to undertake this crucial role within our organisation. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the technical strategy of the company as well as the day-to-day management of IT projects and processes.

This is an exciting opportunity, as the successful candidate will gain experience in a wide range of strategic and operational responsibilities.

Those duties will include:

Formulating the strategic approach to IT within the company in association with the Directors.
Managing the day-to-day IT operations of the organisation, ensuring the smooth resolution of client technical issues.
Analysis, reporting and recommendation regarding current and proposed technologies in use, and setting policies for all.
Selection and management of external contractors to ensure suitability and adherence to both budget and timetable, and the coordination of IT projects.
Ensuring that emerging technology drives the sales process by introducing the business to new developments within the industry.
Working with clients to understand their needs and to determine new business opportunities within client organisations

·       A technical background coupled with commercial and business acumen, and the ability to clearly define business requirements.

·       At least 3 years’ experience managing software development projects to timetable and budget.

·       A background in media, particularly television, film and home entertainment; an understanding of press and marketing would be an advantage.

·       A thorough technical knowledge of internet streaming protocols and technologies.

·       A comprehensive understanding of and interest in all web technologies, keeping abreast of new developments to introduce them to the company.

·       The ability to form close, mutually beneficial relationships with customers, colleagues and partners. IN particular

·       Strong reporting and analytical skills, taking a proactive stance on identifying project issues and risks before they arise, and taking swift and appropriate pre-emptive action.

·       Strong interpersonal skills and be an articulate communicator, both verbally and in written documentation. You should be equally comfortable talking to our development teams on a technical level as you are communicating with clients on a business level.

·       Have detailed knowledge of project methodologies, particularly Agile.

·       A positive, solution-finding attitude and an awareness of the business impacts of technical decisions.

·       Be a hard worker, organised, structured and logical – with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
