Home Based or Office Based - Midlands

The ( Electrical ) Service Engineer will maintain, service and repair robots, robotic and automation systems at UK customer sites with time being spent in the company's Midlands based office / workshop facilities to carry out training and repair work as required. You will train customers in operating, programming and maintenance techniques and provide on-site and / or telephone assistance upon demand.

Our client operates around the world providing robotic and automation solutions for the manufacturing industry including solutions for palletising, packing, material handling / removal to a number of customers in packaged goods, food processing, plastics, electronics, machinery, glass and other industries.

Their Midlands based operation employs approx. 50 staff and services the whole of the UK (and sometimes international) client base. They offer excellent training and a generous remuneration package with pension, life cover and medical insurance to all employees.

The ( Electrical ) Service Engineer will have a relevant Apprenticeship or hold an electro-mechanical related qualification ( HNC / HND / Degree ) with the practical ability and experience to fault find and repair mechanical / electrical equipment and robotic / automation solutions. This is a "hands on" role requiring a combination of technical knowledge and practical skills.

The Service Engineer will have a flexible and organised approach to work, be willing to work outside of normal working hours when necessary and keen to provide excellent customer service.
