Job Specification
Reports to: Business Development Manager – Manchester Laboratory.
Job Purposes: To be responsible for performing RPS’ Breathe-in Safely services to customers throughout the UK & Ireland, in line with current HSE ACoPs, legislation and RPS Laboratories working practices/SOP’s.
Main Duties: To perform Qualitative and Quantitative Face Fit Testing for RPS’ customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
To deliver ‘Train the Tester’ Face Fit Training courses to RPS’ customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
To deliver RPE Maintenance Training courses RPS’ customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
To perform Breathing Air Testing for RPS’ customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
To deliver Personal Sampling Pump Training courses to RPS’ customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
To ensure all work is managed within strict timescales.
To communicate knowledgeably with both existing and potential customers verbally and in writing.
To be an enthusiastic and conscientious team member committed to delivering high levels of customer care at all times.
To ensure that all equipment is well maintained, prepared for each job and within calibration at all times.
To achieve targets as set by the Business Development Manager and or Directors.
To be prepared to travel within the UK and Ireland at short notices with overnight stops and outside of normal working hours, in line with the business requirments.
To conform to customers rules when on site.
To provide appropriate paperwork for each job upon completion in a timely manner.

Qualifications: Preferably educated to at least degree level and/or hold appropriate professional qualifications. Ideally have an applicable scientific background.
Skills and The job holder will need to have -
Expertise:
A proven and demonstrable track record of working in a scientific environment.
An understanding of the technical issues involved.
Hold a Full UK driving licence.
An ability to achieve demanding targets and deadlines.
A proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
Personal attributes will include the ability to follow projects through to completion, determination, enthusiasm, ability to work as part of a team and the ability to work in an organised and planned manner.
Have a through understanding of all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Word
