One of the world’s largest and most successful contract research organisation is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join their busy and hardworking facilities team, based in Eye, Suffolk. This is a varied and challenging role involving maintaining building services plant equipment and systems throughout the complex, ensuring the smooth day to day running of the site; it’s therefore essential that you possess a wide range of proven technical skills.
The work carried out will encompass electrical distribution, steam and related LPHW systems, HVAC and refrigeration. Alongside this you will be required to assist the Maintenance Supervisor with electrical or mechanical problems encountered on site; a helpful and approachable attitude is vital. A working knowledge of building management systems would also be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have attained a recognised apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC in mechanical and / or electrical principals and have gained experience of working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
