Are you a Production Assistant looking to develop your career, or a talented Production Editor looking for a new challenge? 3D World is the world's best-selling magazine for CG artists and animators creating the very best 3D content for films, TV, games and online. We are looking for a super-accurate and organised Production Editor to join the team.
As Production Editor you'll be managing the production of print, digital and online content, ensuring that every issue is produced to the highest standards and deadlines are met. You'll be sub-editing raw copy from contributors and the team, and fitting InDesign pages ensuring that high levels of accuracy and editorial quality are maintained. In addition you'll have the opportunity to write regular copy for the website.
We're looking for a real all-round talent who can write, sub-edit and organise the team. With an excellent command of written English and high standards of spelling, punctuation and grammar, you'll have a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy. Preferably you'll have proven experience running the magazine production process, on a newsstand magazine. Fantastic organisation and time management skills are essential, as well as being able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and troubleshoot problems. Experience of using Adobe InDesign to sub-edit magazine pages is essential. An interest in, or awareness of animation or visual effects, is preferable but not essential for the role.
