Leasehold Manager needed for Northwest London-based Housing Association. Our client is a large housing association that manages over 17,500 properties in and around London. They have affiliated smaller housing groups and aim to provide as many homes as possible at and the best value for money to families and neighbourhoods.
As Leasehold Manager you will report to the Senior Housing and Leasehold Manager while also being responsible for five Retirement Scheme Managers. The job will include leasehold estate services, planned maintenance, training new staff and managing rent accounts. Furthermore, you will ensure that regulatory and statutory requirements are met in addition with liaising with housing benefit departments and relevant agencies. You will deal with cases that need to be taken to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and issue Section 20s when necessary. Finally, you will provide advice and consultation to residents and contractors.
As the ideal candidate for the job you will have a background in leasehold with evidence of property and line management and a thorough understanding of tenancy legislation. You will have experience of working with statutory, public sector and voluntary agencies, and will be able to maximise income and identify problems and solutions. Finally, you will be flexible, communicative and enjoy working in a team environment.
