SofTec Solutions is seeking candidates for a Network Administrator position. You will maintain and provide technical and administrative support for all components of the Enterprise Network. You will be responsible to maintain knowledge of computers, desktop systems, and peripheral equipment within the Local Area Network in order to meet the needs of the administrative, clinical, and research computer users. You will assist customers and IS teams in testing, analysis and problem solving system functions and applications.  Primary responsibility is to administer technical operation of the LAN/WAN including configuration & deployment, monitoring, maintenance & troubleshooting, auditing and log management and upgrade and support of all network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN and VOIP.  You will also coordinate testing and production turn up of network changes including IP addressing, scheduled repairs, equipment updates, etc.  Candidates will provide direct customer support to resolve customer problems & questions as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest level of customer service, meeting SLC guidelines and requirements. Secondary responsibility is to provide project leadership and work with teams to ensure the delivery and  quality product on time and within budget.  Strong communication skills are required to relay task status, task issues and resolution.

a.) Must have knowledge in at least one of the following domains:  Network, Security, Voice or Wireless.
b.) AA Degree from a two-year College or technical school required
c.) CCNP, BCNE or JNCIA preferred.
d.) 3+ yrs of recent and related experience required
e.) Knowledge of the configuration and operation of the following network standards and practices:  TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP protocols, DLSw, QoS, MPLS, HSRP/VRRP and multicasting. Knowledge of Layer 2 &1 protocols/services such as:  Switching, VLANs, Ethernet, STP, Frame-Relay, ATM, Private Line, DS1, DS3 OCx, etc.
f.) Maintain knowledge of Desktop and Server/System protocols such as: 
g.) Operating systems:  Windows Server OS and virtualization (VMWare, etc)
h.) Network Protocols: TCP/IP, CIFS & ICMP
i.) Network Operations: DNS, WINS, DHCP, GPO, Windows domain
j.) Server & Application security:  Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, General OS security
k.) Technical Applications:  Active Directory, User access and single sign-on methods, email systems, remote access technology

Must have the ability to integrate the aforementioned network standards & protocols into an existing network infrastructure and be able to apply them to current and future network configurations.  Knowledge of security standards as they apply to network management, VOIP and client access methods.  Network design and configuration experience (enterprise-class switches, routers & firewalls) preferred.  Effective written and oral communication skills and effective organization skills are preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must.  Knowledge of a health care setting or educational facility preferred.  Ability to handle multiple projects at once.  Capacity to establish and maintain constructive business relationships with internal customers while maintaining integrity and confidentiality. Aptitude in researching, analyzing and make recommendations regarding.
