Purpose:
People Managers play a key role in the success of our matrix management, and are pivotal in the interactions between employees, Practice Director, Project Managers and Human Resources. They are responsible for ensuring employees within their respective area engage and perform effectively within the business. This involves working closely with individuals to understand their capabilities and career aspirations, and identifying development opportunities in-line with overall business objectives. People Managers will liaise with Practice Directors and Project Managers to ensure that their people are assigned to projects that align with their capability and development goals and work with Human Resources as required to provide support.

Experience and Capabilities:
• Previous experience of line management, coaching and development of large teams;
• Operational HR Management background would be an advantage;
• Excellent understanding of employment best practice;
• The ability to test and challenge assumptions;
• Outstanding networking and influencing skills;
• Experience of facilitating meetings;
• Good interviewing skills;
• The ability to collaborate with others to gather constructive feedback for individual performance reviews;
• Experience of positively influencing change within an organisation;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Previous field based experience, coupled with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
