Senior Technical Architect (Infrastructure)

The JM Group is working with a well known Bank in Buckinghamshire who require a Senior Technical Architect with a solid background in infrastructure based technologies and ideally has some exposure to development too.

The Senior Technical Architect will need the following skills / experience: 

• The Technical Architect will be responsible for defining the end to end architecture of the organisation.

• Solution definition on large-scale IT Projects with responsibility for defining complex technical requirements and evaluating the supplier response.

• Having knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF

• The successful Technical Architect will be accountable for delivery of infrastructure solutions in response to business or customer demands.

• A strong background in dealing with 3rd party vendors / suppliers.

• Extensive experience of leading and motivating highly capable and senior IT teams - both directly and indirectly. 

• Extensive background in strategy 

• Direct control of programme budget of more than £20m. 

Personal attributes 

• Proven experience delivering a number of programmes and demonstrating the ability to add value to the business. 

• Is able to understand and communicate the potential impact of emerging technologies on organisations and individuals and can analyse the risks of using or not using such technologies. 

• Deep understanding of information systems industry, emerging technologies and the implications for the wider business environment. 

• Stakeholder management experience up to CXO level and possessing the ability to influence others. 

• Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure and /or against opposition. 

• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to articulate a vision with energy and passion.
