Job description
The role of the Middle Weight UX & UI Designer is to work with the existing design team to help scope, plan, create, and iterate User Experience (UX) wireframes and User Interface (UI) designs of Apps according to deadlines and within budget as set by the Project Manager, and in liaison with the Developer, Tester and Technical Architects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of UX & UI Design in how Chelsea Apps Factory scope, plan, create and iterate design of UX and UI for Apps.
- Help scope, plan, create and iterate design of UX and UI for Apps.
- Help define App UX & UI design scope and deliverables to support project goals in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Help develop best practices and tools for App UX & UI design execution and management.
Under the leadership of the Head of UX & UI Design
- work with the Use Case engineers, create high fidelity App UX wireframes that accurately communicate the App User Journey.
- work with the Developers, create high-fidelity App UI designs that accurately illustrate the App User Interface design.
- iteratively update UX & UI designs against feedback from client, the Project Manager.
- create final full-scale, high-fidelity App UI designs; and package UI elements for consumption and incorporation into the App by the Developer(s).
- working with the platform specific developers, identify differences in UX & UI design across differing App platforms, and create unified UX & UI designs that accommodate these differences in an appropriate manner.
- communicate UX & UI design expectations to the Project Manager in a timely and clear fashion, and where necessary to the client.
- through collaboration with the Developer(s), estimate the effort and time needed to achieve design goals; and participate in project post mortems and provide recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements relating to App UX & UI design.
