Lead Teacher: Social, emotional & behavioural difficulties (SEBD)

Salary up to £38,000

Advanced Education is part of the Advanced Childcare Group. We are responsible for the education outcomes of over 400 children from the ages of 6 to 18 years and our schools provide an alternative to mainstream education offering learners the opportunity to work with specialist, trained staff in small group settings.

We currently have an opportunity available for a Lead Teach to join us.

About You

As a Teacher, you will deliver teaching sessions to young people the majority of whom will have either learning or behavioural difficulties or both. Within the role you will plan and prepare schemes of work, planning and preparing individual lessons within the schemes of work and endeavouring to integrate sufficient differentiation within tasks and subject matter that all children will be engaged by the lesson.

Candidates for this role should hold QTS and have experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4, working with young people with complex needs and EBD. With good teaching skills and the ability to match your approach to the needs of the pupils, you will have experience of planning schemes of work and lesson plans within the National Curriculum framework and the ability to form effective relationships with children and act as a positive role model. Experience of working with children or young adults with L & D is essential, experience with working with children or young adults with ASD would be desirable, however is not essential.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check
