Creative Senior Packaging Structural Designer - Carton Industry

LOCATION; Newcastle

SALARY; £34K (Depending on experience)

Role: 

- Prepare files for the reprographic department - using Artios CAD 

-Deliver Production Read digital and imposition files to manufacturing sites into the department 

-Ensure the correct PDF CAD specifications are supplied to customers 

-Ensure accurate completion of all jobs 

-Input all relevant data onto the CAD database 

-Maintain equipment 

-Produce quality customer samples for presentation to their clients and production approval 

-Read and adhere to all design requests and instructions 

-Produce graphic mock-ups 

-Reporting to the department manager and build relationships with clients etc. 

Requirements: 

- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent - City and Guilds Certificate in Packaging or equivalent 

-At least 2 years experience in a Packaging environment 

- 2 years experience in CAD Software (preferably Artios CAD), Adobe CS and Microsoft office 

-Experience of building good relations with clients, design agencies, manufacturing etc. 

-Have the ability to process creative and production briefs

-Knowledge of Carton Design NOT Corrugated

-Need to know about Packaging Engineering
