Job description

Carpetright Plc are the award winning carpet and flooring company based in the UK and now also beds and mattresses. We offer flooring products and services that are guaranteed high quality and are the UK`s largest flooring and bed specialist retailer with over 600 stores throughout Europe. 

We are currently seeking a Development Support Analyst role to provide support to the development team, its customers and to the numerous systems they support. This includes the Navision (Store Support Office & Stores) systems, Warehouse system (OBS), SAP, BW and ICAN (Middleware) system to name a few.

Main Responsibilities:
„X Own, resolve and escalate all support calls coming into the Development team.
„X Assist in Release Management to ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
„X Assist in testing and test management process to ensure that all testing follows a structured format.
„X Provide a bridge between the developers and other departments/teams and handover task with cross training where relevant.
„X Review Level 1 and Level 2 procedures to ensure relevancy and where possible propose improvements or fixes.
„X Actively reduced root causes by investigating issues and proposing fixes.
„X Create/Update documentation (Technical / Non Technical) to improve knowledge transfer.
„X Resolve ICAN and other integrated SSO system errors during office hours.
„X Carry out development system administrative task (Weekly Aggregates, Mass Listings `K) during office hours.
„X Look at daily ATOS SAP & BW reports and progress accordingly.
„X Provide technical assistance to other departments/teams.
„X Proactively scan the store estate for issues resolve/escalate accordingly.
„X Maintain Test Environments to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

Role Specifics:
The Carpetright IT Development team currently comprises of three developers and a manager. This will shortly increase to four developers, a support analyst and Development Manager.

This role is based in our Store Support Office, West Thurrock.

The hours of work will 9am - 5:30pm (37.5 hours) Monday `V Friday with one hour lunch.
Candidates maybe required to work additional hours if and when required.

Candidates will be required to be on call-out. There is an additional 10% allowance on the salary. In principal, candidates are on-call 24/7 365 but there is a rota.
