Position: Project Co-ordinator
Salary: £31,837 - £34,426
18 months fixed term contract

Based in West Ham Lane and Outreach Locations

Our Employment and Inclusion Team provides a broad range of support to our unemployed residents and other people living in our communities who need help to get back to work. This small but high performing team has helped more that 230 people get jobs each year and are keen to provide the highest quality service to all of our customers.

The team have recently secured additional funding for two projects to provide a range of engagement and support services to young people living in East London with the aim of supporting them into apprenticeships and employment. We are now recruiting a new small team to work as part of the Employment and Inclusion Team to establish and deliver these projects

The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for implementing and delivering youth projects, managing a small team, providing an excellent service to our young customers and meeting our funders’ targets for apprenticeships and employment. The successful applicant will need:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience of developing and implementing projects and programmes
• An ability to lead and motivate staff
• An ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with Local Authorities, stakeholders and employers
• A proven ability to work on own initiative from outreach locations and develop processes to manage and deliver objectives
• Experience of delivering employment projects for young people
• Experience of delivering grant funded programmes and liaising with funders
• Knowledge and experience of securing apprenticeships for customers
