Job Title - Clinical Services Manager with ophthalmic, managerial and scrub experience 

Location - North West London 

Salary £45,000 to £50,000 plus excellent benefits 

Our Private Ophthalmic Healthcare client operates six Hospitals across the UK and is now seeking a Band 7 or above Clinical Services Manager with Ophthalmic, Private Healthcare experience based in North London within a newly opened State of the Art Hospital. 

Our client is dedicated to the development of eye sciences and championing the latest innovations in vision correction. Our client partners with leading UK universities in the research and development of the next generation of ophthalmic services and technologies. 

The Clinical Services Manager will lead, direct and motivate the team as well as supporting the Hospital Manager in the day to day running and management of the Hospital. 

Duties will include CQC, comprehensive level of care provision, reviewing patient pathways regularly, ensuring efficient channels of communication between the patient liaison team, clinical team, Consultants/Surgeons and Hospital Manager. 

Key Tasks are to ensure maximum efficiency, optimal use of Hospital facilities, lead, develop and mentor the clinical team, deputise for the Hospital Manager, maintain an out of hours clinical emergency patient service. 

Create and develop string teamwork, work with colleagues and take responsibility for the whole patient pathway, review and assess clinical and administrative effectiveness identifying areas for improvement. 

Manage the clinical environment, provide scrub assistance in clinical/operative procedures as well as providing cover as required for pre/post-op. 

To provide quarterly report to the Hospital Manager, take an active role teaching within the Hospital, adhere to the principles of clinical governance and the CQC. 

Required 

NMC registration with scrub skills 

Teaching qualification eg 998 or mentorship 

Minimum Band 7 

Ophthalmic experience required. 

Laser Safety Certificate preferred. 

Significant Managerial experience, leading and managing a large team required. 

Experience of working in Ophthalmic theatres required. 

An understanding of CQC, policies and procedures and must have worked within Private Healthcare preferably a Hospital.
