Our client is a permanent assembly of Catholic Bishops in these countries. They are a trust established by the Bishops' Conference to be the instrument required by civil law to enable financial and juridical actions to be legally carried forward.

They are currently advertising for a Development Facilitator for a fixed term period of 2 years. 

This successful applicant will to assist the Episcopal Chair of the Healthcare Reference Group (HRG), and diocesan bishops, to implement the agreed Bishops’ Conference HRG strategy. This role would include “gathering, guiding and giving voice” to this area of work by enabling the work of the national group, the cultivation and encouragement of local networks of Catholics in the fields of health and social care (including the communication and dissemination of best practice), and by supporting grant holders in the delivery of local projects. 

The right candidate will:

• Be a practicing, committed Catholic with a good understanding of the Catholic Church, its structures, teaching and culture.
• Have recent experience of working in the health or social care sector.
• Have had success in effectively engaging communities and volunteers to work for change.
• Be used to presenting to groups and / or delivering training.
• Have experience in project management and report writing.
• Have a sound knowledge and appreciation of challenges faced by those working in health and social care.
• Have a working knowledge of the changing landscape of healthcare provision, including community health.
• Understand and appreciate the positive benefits that faith based networks can offer to healthcare professionals and careers.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people in a wide range of settings.
• Have the ability to inspire and enthuse others, and to overcome suspicions and fears.
• Have the ability to undertake travel throughout England & Wales.
