The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to work as part of our production team, specifically within the finishing department. This is a multi-skilled role where an open mind and willingness to take on new tasks is essential, as most of our work consists ofone off pieces and new builds. Builds can be either for our hire stock or are bespoke items for sale.

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

·         Finishing props that come through to the department. Props will usually be brand new (in their raw state of either: polystyrene, timber or metal),or be existing props that require fixing or altering.
Finishing will involve some, or all, of the following:

-          Painting - both flat / block and scenic

-          Fibre Glassing

-          Polyurea Spraying

-          Sanding

·         To ensure all work is completed to the required standard, is in budget and meets the required deadlines.

·         To log all working hours and materials, to assist with project costing’s.

Skills needed

·         Experienced painter (artistic painting would be a benefit).

·         Understanding of working within build budgets.

·         Basic IT skills.

·         Any Moulding, Casting, Polyurea orFibreglassing skills would be desirable but are not essential, as the successful candidate would be taught these skills.
 

Personal requirements:

·         Positive attitude towards work.

·         Willingness to take on new tasks and eagerness to learn new skills.

·         Willingness to assist other areas of the business at busy periods or to cover absence.

·         To lead by example through attitude, work ethic and standard of work.

·         Adherence to health and safety guidelines.
