My client, located in Nottingham city centre, is looking to appoint an experienced Headteacher to take over from the current Head, who is taking early retirement. This post could start as soon as Easter, but for the right candidate it could start in September 2013.
The governors are seeking an experienced and inspirational Headteacher, with the ability to work closely with middle leaders and staff to build a strong leadership and management ethos, and to continue to improve on the already "Good" teaching standards as quoted in the most recent Ofsted report.
The successful candidate must be an established Headteacher, currently or with recent experience of working in such a role and looking for a new challenge in a diverse, multi-cultural city school. You will need to have a proven track record of success and a confident approach, as the school are looking for somebody hit the ground running in order to offer support after the recent Ofsted grading.
The most recent Ofsted report (2012) stated that:
The school is a larger than average Primary School (approx 350). The proportion of pupils eligible for additional funding, coming from minority ethnic backgrounds, or who speak English as an additional language is above average.
The school met the minimum expectations for pupils' attainment and progress, and achievement of pupils and the quality of teaching was rated "Good."
The successful applicant will be an ambitious, assertive and capable leader, able to direct the school towards further success.
