Our client is a leading international specialist oil and gas EPC contractor. They have a vacancy for a Project Surveyor to work in Aberdeen on either contract or staff basis. The successful applicant will report to the UK Project Survey Lead the primary function of the role will be the day to day provision of survey support to North Sea and Canada construction projects. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

To provide on-going survey support to Construction or Survey Projects throughout the project life cycle
Provide technical and commercial input to Tenders
To ensure that all Survey related activities are undertaken in accordance with HSEQ procedures
Develop project procedures and quality plans in alignment with processes
Ensure that offshore personnel requirements are identified (e.g. define personnel competences) and communicated in a timely manner to the offshore resources group
Identify required equipment and communicate these requirements to the internal survey engineering support group to ensure timely delivery of equipment to worksites
Support project during Client meetings
Attend onshore calibrations and liaise with 3rd. party service providers
Undertake project briefings/ debriefings during periods of mob / demobilisation with key survey personnel / other project personnel
To act as liaison on behalf of project both with internal and external interfaces
Ensure that end of trip reports are closed out in a timely manner with lessons learned being captured and communicated
Provide support to other Project Survey personnel as required 

Experience, Skills & Education:

Degree or HND qualification in relevant survey related discipline preferred
Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role. Strong communication and procedure/report writing skills. Articulates views in a comprehensive manner. Produces written work of a high standard and presentable quality.
Works well with others in a team environment . Ability to understand and interpret instruction and coordinate own work. Good organisational skills
Previous experience as a Project Surveyor within Oil & Gas survey & construction. Specific knowledge and understanding of current offshore survey techniques in Pre-engineering survey, pre-lay survey, construction support, as-built survey, ROV survey operations, LBL installation and calibration, Subsea metrology and dimensional control.
Knowledge and understanding of subsea engineering associated with Oil & Gas construction and field development.

This role can be either contract or permanent. The role will be an onshore position with possible occasional temporary offshore assignments as required.
