Senior Design Engineer - Engineering Salary Range £30,000 - £35,000 DOE plus benefitsSATRA is a leading research and technology organisation for the footwear and other consumer related product industries. We require an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to lead a small team of electrical and mechanical designers responsible for the design & development of electro and mechanical test machines.
Within the role you will be required to contribute to design solutions as hands on 3D CAD user and develop the department's integrity of all documentation from specification to user instructions. This role will also lead the test machine development program, including cross functional development groups and the development of improved systems and upgrades to the Inventor CAD system.
To be successful in this role you will be required to demonstrate experience of defining and managing development projects from concept via specification to vaildated final design and Hands on 3D Inventor CAD user ability. Experience of the design of small batch test equipment with a high level of variety would also be an advantage.
Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent within Engineering.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must hold a full clean driving licence and be flexible to travel overseas as required and demonstrate customer facing skills.
