We arenow recruiting for an Operations Manager to manage our UK converting and distribution operation in Andover.
The site will consists of about 15 personnel and the Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the running of this business unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a small but growing industry leader, which is seeking ways to enhance business performance.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will have full responsibility for the site whilst managing a multi-functional team includingproduction, supply chain, commercial facilities and distribution. You will be targeted to improve all aspects of the exiting operation and todevelop ways to reduce costs through improved efficiencies.

You will be targeted to improve all aspects of the exiting operation and todevelop ways to reduce costs through improved efficiencies.
To perform this role you will ideally have an engineering degree or equivalent experience. You will possess the skills to motivate and drive the team and have fresh ideas or suggestions for improvements to increase customer service levels and help increase sales.
An understanding of P&L and forecasting will be advantageous. This is a varied and challenging role that offers the opportunity to improve an already successful business.
Main aspects of the role will include:
Management of material planning, sales coordination and the control department
Handle the performance output of team on a daily basis
Ensure customer orders are processed and dispatched in line with customer requirement
Coordinate demand and supply planning processes to ensure products are available at the right time and place
Work with logistic operations to ensure all bottlenecks impacted by warehouse and transport activity are resolved in a timely manner
Achieve 95 OTIF order fulfillment ratio to ensure all PO and demand are placed on Suppliers in a timely manner
Forging relationship with customers to improve communications and information flow to aid operations planning processes
Escalate product shortage to ensure corrective action plan are developed to avoid commercial impact with customer
End to end supply chain management experience including some manufacturing environment experience
Thorough understanding of procurement and forecast management practices
Health & Safety
Line management and staff recruitment experience
CIPS or CILT qualification or equivalent
Excellent Excel skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
