The Opportunity

National Civil Engineering Contractor have a requirement for an Assistant QS to work on a large motorway widening scheme in Norfolk.

Our client was successfully appointed after a competitive tendering process and the project will operate under NEC form of contract and is the construction of a new dual carriageway. 

The successful candidate will take responsibility for aspects of project quantity surveying from early construction phases procuring sub contractors; assisting with measurement, valuation and managing payment applications.

The Key Requirements

- Minimum 5-10 years UK experience in surveying roles for recognised main contractors. 

- Experience on major roads or highways construction projects between £10m and £50m as QS.

- Strong IT skills: All Microsoft packages, basic understanding of estimating and planning software. 

- Good knowledge of construction management process and techniques, previous delivery of civils projects an advantage. 

- Previous roles: Quantity Surveyor OR Intermediate QS OR Project QS.

The Money

To £40k plus a highly competitive benefits package.
