Our client is a winning, independent communications agency. They are looking for a consultant to work predominantly on their healthcare accounts, as well as a mix of corporate accounts.

As a consultant the successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder campaigns. Day to day activities will include managing client relationships, ensuring that clients are kept informed of policy and developments relevant to them. You will therefore have to produce papers and updates on policy issues and developments in the media related to the clients you will be working on. As a team, you will develop communications strategies. You will also have an element of business development within this role, being responsible for generating new business leads and developing pitch proposals. As a consultant you will be overseeing the activities of the research team and the interns working on your clients so good leadership skills are useful.

The ideal candidate will have gained experience agency side or within parliament, the civil service or in-house, with a particular preference for, prior experience/strong interest in healthcare policy. A background in corporate communications, with exposure to the media and political and cultural affairs – especially in the UK landscape – is essential. You will be hard working and flexible, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent writing and communication skills are a must.
