Job description
We are looking for candidates with previous experience in Jointing techniques up to 33 kV, including excavation, cable laying, reinstatement and fault location on HV/LV cables. You will be involved with the construction, maintenance, replacement and repair of assets up to and including 33kV.
The successful applicant will ideally have underground electrical experience. If not already attained, the successful candidate will be required to study for the relevant City & Guilds qualification and complete tasks, reports and a final trade test.
You must be able to work on your own initiative as part of a small team, making on the spot decisions as required and working to tight deadlines. A flexible attitude is essential as you may be asked to undertake other duties to assist the team in meeting its objectives. In addition, you will need to be mobile throughout the area as you may be required to undertake standby duties.
Responsibilities to include;
The construction, reinforcement, alteration, maintenance, replacement and repair of all assets up to 33kV.
Network operations upto 33kV
The health and safety of the team.
The quality, organisation and cost effectiveness of individual projects.
The impact of project and own activities on customers, public and environment.
The representation of the team and the Company at the individual level.
