The Leisure Club Attendant Role:

As the Leisure Club Attendant your main duties are the following:

·         Supplying the highest possible levels of customer care and service whether in the public eye or back of house areas.

·         To carry out opening and closing procedures with specific emphasis on checking all security aspects.

·         To be fully aware of the Leisure Club Reception, Gymnasium, Pool, Spa, Steam and Jacuzzi procedures and to ensure that these are adhered to at all times.

·         To oversee the control of the daily takings throughout the day, to finish each day be recording all monies taken on a Daily record sheet, to ensure that all takings are deposited with the Hotel reception, and signed for.  A lunch time float check will also be needed.

·         To ensure that any problems, breakdowns etc. are reported to the Manager and promptly rectified in order that our level of customer care may remain high.

·         To understand and operate the reception computer, ensuring usage by both members and guests is properly controlled and efficiently recorded.

·         To understand and operate Daily Bookings Sheet.  To administer all revenue within the club.

·         To operate all bookings for Solarium/Fitness Testing/Aqua Classes and to ensure that the reception desk is run efficiently and that all persons entering the club are correctly registered.

·         To be responsible for the supervision and safety of guests and members of the club in accordance with Principal Hotels procedures on Health and Safety regulations.

·         To make at least 2 full tours of the club facilities making checks on the stock of towels, tissues, soap and toilet paper etc. and to ensure that adequate stock is available at all times.

·         To be responsible for the smooth operation of the club whist on duty, carrying out regular test on the swimming pools and Jacuzzi and to take immediate action should the results of these rests pose any danger to users.  To check all areas of the club on an ongoing basis throughout the day undertaking tasks listed on the Daily Task & Cleaning sheet.

·         To ensure that the club is opened and closed at the published times and is run to prescribed Company standards when on duty.

·         To be able to sell memberships to potential members, using the established sales procedures.


The Ideal Leisure Club Attendant:

The ideal candidate will be flexible and be prepared to work long hours during our busy periods. Ideally the candidate will have previous leisure experience or a genuine interest of working in the leisure industryLife Guard and Pool plant Operations qualifications would be an advantage.
