Job description

Senior Care required for 21 bedded residential home. 28 hours per week. 

Shifts are 7.30am-2.30pm and 2.30pm-9.30pm, full flexibility needed mon-sun. Additional hours frequently available to cover annual leave and sickness.

NVQ 2 and medication training essential. Previous experience in a supervisory role, NVQ 3 and up to date mandatory training preferred but not essential.  

Duties to include assisting elderly residents with all aspects of daily living including personal care, administration of medication, meals, activities plus minor laundry and domestic duties.  To supervise care staff and plan the shift so that it runs efficiently.  To deal with medical and environmental emergencies in the absence of management and liase with other professionals.

Good verbal and written communication skills essential due to talking to residents, staff and visitors plus record writing that includes: daily reports, care plans, accident records, handover sheets, nutritional forms etc.
