JOB DESCRIPTION REC 7POST: SENIOR LEARNER ASSISTANT
RESPONSIBLE TO: LEARNER SUPPORTMANAGERRESPONSIBLE FOR: PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY SUPPORT & GUIDANCE TO LEARNER ASSISTANTSLINE MANAGER TO: DESIGNATED LEARNER ASSISTANT (S)
LOCATION: WEELSBY/TOYNTON CAMPUSPRINCIPAL DUTIES:Provided at all times that this remains consistent with any Linkage-wide policy and/or practice, these will include:1. To provide high quality, consistent guidance and development to all Learner Assistants.2. To act as line manager to named Learner Assistant(s).KEY TASKS:1. To attend and contribute to Team meetings.2. To promote self-advocacy within the Learner Assistant population.3. To provide effective line management to designated staff.4. To be a proactive and positive role model to other Learner Assistants.5. To participate in the development and delivery of specific training to meet the needs of the Learner Assistant role.6. To implement and promote the Linkage Policy for Equality and Diversity.7. To undertake appropriate personal and professional development.8. To be personally responsible for your own Health and safety and to be aware of obligations to other staff and customers in accordance with legislation.9.
