My client is a worldwide provider of marketing professionals to companies such as BBC, Channel 4, Marks and Spencer, Tesco’s, Wal-Mart and many many more. They have a fantastic brand and have worked with some of the most respected people in marketing. Only working with candidates who have a basic salary of over £100,000 they must headhunt the required personnel and also have strong databases/ network systems.

They are now looking for a trainee consultant who will be working closely to the acquisitions of candidates for the senior consultants. This role will not require you to expand the business by cold calling and pitching to businesses but you will be expected to meet with current clients to get a good understanding of their business.

Due to the nature of the business, you will have full control of your diary and will be allowed to meet with all of the candidates that you work with. The company is very social and you will be expected to go to networking events, client events/ meals. This means that you must be a self-starter and be able to work in an autonomous environment. Further to this you must be a great communicator, confident and be able to overcome objection well.

This role is very tough and requires somebody who is able to ‘sell’ efficiently, this is to ensure that the best candidate is attracted. Prior sales experience is not necessary but advantageous. You will be rewarded with a £24,000 basic salary and quarterly bonuses dependent upon the revenue that is generated. Year one you should earn in the region of £32,000.

Minimum requirements:

·      2.1 degree.

·      Strong A level.

·      Competitive attitude.

·      Ambitious.

·      Proactively worked through university.
