Job description
Could you take ownership of Equality and Diversity within an ambitious and forward-thinking organisation? Here is an opportunity to devise and deliver new initiatives that influence the way we treat each other and our Customers.
Ultimately, you will ensure that a commitment to Equality and Diversity underpins everything we do, this is a vital area for us. As a registered charity providing social housing, we own and manage more than 18,000 homes; we aim to create safe and thriving communities where people want to live and achieving this means treating everyone fairly and equally and recognising, respecting and valuing people’s differences.
As our champion of internal Equality and Diversity, you will create fresh and imaginative ways to engage with every member of the Bolton at Home team. These could include new events or forums as well as training and awareness-raising initiatives. You will also support the recruitment process, research and analyse information, oversee Equality Assessments and constantly monitor the results of your work.
Strong organisational and administrative skills are important, along with a good knowledge of current equality legislation. The proven ability to deliver training, analyse data and make sound recommendations is also essential. What’s more, you’ll need to be a confident and inspiring communicator; someone who can influence people’s thinking at every level, gain buy-in from management colleagues and make a positive impact on our business.
