Perhaps you’ve been out of the workforce for a while and would like a subtle way to re-enter the corporate world. Or maybe you simply have some time on your hands and would like to spend it doing good for others. We are offering a voluntary unpaid opportunity for a part time bookkeeper on an ongoing basis.

Come and join us in our central London Headquarters for one day a week to help us maintain our financial records and ensure that all our accounts are accurately filed and prepared for annual audit.

Main duties will include:

• Recording all financial transactions
• Sales and purchase ledger maintenance
• Monthly payroll
• Weekly bank reconciliation
• Monthly balance reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting
• Annual profit and loss (year-end close)
• Credit control and petty cash management
• Ad. hoc. reporting

Along with being scrupulous in all areas of accounting and reporting The successful applicant will have:

• Broad experience in using finance systems (i.e. QuickBooks, XERO, etc.)
• Advanced skills in using Excel for reporting and reconciliation
• Excellent self-control and mindset for quality assurance with attention to detail essential
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts
• Excellent analytical skills - an ability to review current processes and date, detect and correct errors
• The ability to be self starter and use their initiative
• Notable responsiveness and a “can-do” attitude
• The ability to be highly organised - proven ability to execute and manage projects and tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Good judgement - knowing when to escalate an issue combined with a willingness to be flexible
